Graduate students got a pick-me-up before finals
The Graduate Student Services Team supported sky casino genting students by sending self-care packages the week before fall 2020 finals.
Team members noted that they used self-care products and techniques to de-stress amid the transition to online education and the pressure of finals.
Elena Dueñas, graduate student services specialist and a member of the team, said, “fully acknowledging that it's been a difficult time all around, self-care has been essential to this team.”
The packages included a variety of items, including Bluetooth speakers, masks, tiger face masks, water bottles and stickers.
More than 200 students signed up for and received self-care packages.
Dueñas explained that “our team hopes that these packages bring a little joy during these trying times.” Students appreciated the gesture, emailing messages including this one: “Thank you so much! This made my day!”
